The Squalane we use is derived from Olives, as it is a natural component of many vegetable oils. It is also part of our skin’s natural oils, or sebum. The levels of Squalane peak in our 20’s and start rapidly decreasing in our 30’s. Squalane is a natural lubricant and skin barrier that helps to protect the skin and prevent moisture loss. In addition to helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it is an antioxidant, prevents UV damage, reduces the appearance of age spots and scars, and has anti-bacterial properties. Definitely a multi-functional ingredient!
Not only does Squalane soften the skin, it may also be an anti-aging ingredient. It is said to help lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, protect from UV damage, and free radicals damage.
Age Spots And Scarring
Many skin care experts believe that Squalane can reduce uneven skin pigmentation, scars and age spots.
We know this might not make sense at first, but many experts believe that by using facial oils (especially ones that contain Squalane), it will actually reduce your breakouts! We all grew up believing that surface oil leads to clogged pores, when in fact dehydration contributes more. Our skin’s oil glands cannot easily secrete and lubricate when dry. The secretions become thick and hardened creating clogged pores. Those pores easily become infected and cause pimples.
Quite often acne suffers spend a lot of time (and money) stripping excess sebum off of the face. But excessive harsh stripping can actually increase sebum production. A vicious cycle forms of using strong astringents and harsh cleansers and medicated products.
Replenish your skin gently with our Squalane based PURE PERFECTION POTION which has the consistency similar to your own sebum.
Also we have Organic Argan Oil and Organic Jojoba Oil, which are very nourishing for your face. Avoid over-washing with harsh, medicinal products. Our Creamy Cleanser is a gentle, rinse off product. Our organic Jojoba Oil is also great for removing eye make up.
